On a bright and breezy Saturday Kanturk u14 travelled to play Avondale Utd.
A slow start and Kanturk found themselves a goal down after 2 minutes. 15 minutes in and another goal conceded.
Finally though Kanturk began to fight back. Just before half time a well taken corner, a miss kick and a deflection off Fionn Mernagh made it 2-1.
Second half and playing with the breeze Kanturk turned the screw. Another corner and Denis McCarthy swept the ball home. With time running out Ryley Thompson was put through and calmly scored for the Turks to finally take the lead. A red card for Avondale was quickly followed by another goal as Aaron Kiely hooked the ball in from a Denis McCarthy free kick. Final score
