The Turks faced Wilton Utd C in the Con Elliot Founders Cup on Saturday morning at Gurteenard. The boys were on it right from the whistle piling on the pressure and going ahead early. Wilton fought bravely for the whole game against a team four divisions higher but succumbed to the onslaught several more times before half time which saw the boys 10-0 up. Several changes and a reminder of respecting the opposition going into the second half saw the boys score a further five goals. Too many scorers to mention but recognition for Michael Halabis who came on as a sub after 20 mins scoring with his first touch and going on to get four in total.
Wilton threw everything at it and were duly rewarded near the end with a well deserved goal of their own. Huge thanks to Wilton for making the journey and playing with such a positive and friendly spirit in such challenging circumstances. Thanks as always to the referee who had a great game and all the parents for their continued support.
